Welcome to the first-ever Daedalus Fly-In, a spinning retreat hosted by Daedalus Enterprises LLC and sponsored by Daedalus Spinning Wheels. We are excited to bring you the finest teachers and most engaged community in the fiber-spinning world!

The retreat will take place from Wednesday, March 1st through Sunday, March 5th, 2023. Daedalus will host the retreat at the Griffin Gate Marriott Golf Resort and  Spa in Lexington, Kentucky, in the USA. The Griffin Gate is one of Lexington’s premier resorts. It boasts a PGA-rated golf course, a full-treatment spa, fitness center, and more, so whatever amenities you’re seeking, we’re sure you’ll find them here.

The retreat itself will cost $600 per person, which includes a welcome dinner, three classes with our hand-selected instructors, a private shopping day at the vendor market, an attendee-only gathering space during the day, and a nightly event every evening. We have a block of rooms reserved at the incredible rate of $145 (plus tax) per night. Please contact us to get this rate and reserve your room in the block.

We have three days of classes, so if you are interested in taking your skillset up a few notches or even just learning some spinning basics, we have a class for you. We have a great group of teachers for our inaugural event: Jillian Moreno, James “Longdraw” Perry, Debbie Held, and Charan Sachar will share their individual expertise. While you’re here, don’t forget to stop by our Vendor Market (open Friday to retreat patrons only). It’s open to the public on Saturday from 12:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.

You do not need to own a Daedalus wheel in order to attend, and we will have a selection of our wheels available to rent if you would like to try one out and use it during classes. There will be the option to purchase your rental wheel after the retreat is over. The rental fee will be subtracted from the total cost of the wheel.

Both domestic and international guests are welcome, and we will do our best to accommodate every guest's needs and concerns. Please feel free to use the contact form on this site or email Rebecca@daedalusflyin.com with questions.

We expect to garner a great deal of interest for this, our very first in-person retreat, so please book early!
